IBFD’s Library and Information Centre is widely regarded as the world’s leading resource facility in the field of international and comparative taxation. Our extensive collection, which covers almost every country in the world, comprises approximately 40,000 books and e-books, subscriptions to over 1,100 journals, official gazettes, loose-leaf services and online databases. We also cover thousands of law texts and official documents from countries all over the world and provide access to websites of relevant resources such as governments, universities and law firms. The library collection spans more than a century of highly pertinent primary and secondary source materials many of which are available in their original languages.

Functie

You will be involved in the day-to-day activities of this special library.

  • Advise and instruct internal and external clients (via various communication channels), provide guided tours
  • Manage the collection: maintenance, selection, classification, weeding of materials
  • Monitor relevant developments in tax, investment and company law and social security in designated jurisdictions
  • Participate in library metadata projects and related, as required
  • Liaise with in-house tax specialists

Profiel

Requirements

  • Degree in library and information science
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the library field, experience in the customer service area is of advantage
  • Good knowledge of relevant legal resources
  • Advanced experience in working with library management systems, ideally with products from SirsiDynix
  • Work experience or education in legal information (preferably in tax law) is an additional advantage
  • Willingness to keep up to date with developments in library science

Skills

  • English on advanced level or mother tongue
  • Advanced level in a second language (Romance or Germanic languages are a pre)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Accuracy with an eye for detail
  • Proactivity and service-minded
  • Ability to work autonomously

Aanbod

We offer you:

  • A full-time (37 hrs) gross monthly salary between €2,900 and €3,100, depending on background and relevant work experience
