We are excited to invite you to join us at Occupy Library 2020, an online formative/funky/fab/free-of-charge conference which brings together the innovative ideas that are implemented in libraries in the Central, Eastern European, Black Sea, Caucasus, and Caspian regions. We know public libraries in these regions provide useful services and participate in great local initiatives for their communities, and they will be the focal point in our conference! Occupy Library 2020 will be the best place to get inspired and discuss solutions with your innovative peers, and new partners and make new friends.
Call for proposals
The call for proposals is now open. If you have a fabulous story, an interesting project, an insightful case study, or just a fantastic idea, send it to us by 1st of August!
The main topics of the conference are:
- Serving communities in time of crisis
- Partnerships for strong democracy
- Active citizenship in analog and digital format
- Emerging tech trends to empower communities
- Public spaces and community engagement
If your favourite theme is not among these, don’t worry – we welcome proposals for open-themed interactive sessions, to cover other topics relevant to libraries and NGOs.
See the calls for program proposals here.
Come and share your knowledge and good practices with librarians and NGO professionals, and thus support the best ways to make libraries more involved in their communities!
Occupy Library 2020 is an independent event organized by the Progress Foundation with the support of Next Library® and in co-operation with the Occupy Library Steering committee.
